I’ve had the honor of working with Major General Michael T. McGuire since I first took office. He was appointed in 2013, and has served his state and country honorably. His team’s support has been instrumental this past year as we’ve navigated through the #COVID19 pandemic — operating testing sites, transporting medical supplies, assisting food banks, and operating mass vaccination sites. Gen. McGuire has also helped protect our border, sending 300+ troops from our National Guard in 2018 to support President Trump’s border security mission. I’m grateful to Gen. McGuire for his many years of dedicated service, and to his team for their hard work to protect Arizonans.

LOL. I had more medals on my rack than that fat bastard. But I earned them. Bronze Star and Presidential unit citation when I was the commander of an AZNG unit in DS. Earned more later. Now I want some help with my retirement and all I need is for some DA to punch up and print out my Guard retirement points and send them to me. Seems simple, right??? Apparently the AZNG doesn't care about their former soldiers.Next step is going to the press. And it won't be a good message that I purvey.

Government doesn’t create jobs, but government can create an environment for job creation. From day one, our goal was to help make government more efficient and reduce regulatory burdens so the state could reach its true potential.

To grow an economy, it starts with building a business-friendly environment to attract investment. I saw what was happening in TX and knew we could do the same in AZ. In 8 years, we transformed AZ into a hub of innovation and entrepreneurship — that’s free enterprise at work.

Arizona’s universal ESA program gives every family the opportunity to attend a school that fits their child’s needs. The program serves more than 76,000 students and continues to grow. That’s why George Will is dubbing it “too popular to repeal.”

Speaking with college students is one of my most enjoyable experiences and this group at Institute of Politics at University of Chicago did not disappoint! We were able to talk about federalism, free enterprise, and some of the most important things I learned as governor and how they can apply to other parts of life.
